You know no emotion no drive just there zoned out.

Before I keep going let me advised all reading that I am NOT in any way telling you to go against any medical advice that you are given by your medical professional. But this is indeed a blog on the ways of NATURAL care. So now that is said and done let me introduce you to the wonders of the all natural Ashwagandha plant benefits and how this vitamin has helped me naturally ditch the zombie blues and that nagging ongoing anxious feeling!
A Little History On This Power Plant
The Ashwagandha plant goes by many names. The original botanical name for this plant is “Withania Somifera” which you may also hear being referred to as Wintercherry or Indian Ginseng as well.
The word “Ashwagandha” is Sanskrit (Indo-European-Indic Language) for “Smell of Horses” which is the not so welcoming aroma that comes from the root of the plant itself.
This plant’s natural homes are India, The Middle East and different parts of Africa and is grown in the form of a shrub.
The Ashwagandha plant dates back to 6000 BC where it was used as an alternative medicine for natural healing purposes and labeled as the most beneficial plant in the Indian Ayurveda’s Tradition due to the magical powers behind its natural healing abilities.
The natural herb started to really gain its well-deserved shine in the US around the year 2020. When the outbreak of the pandemic started to spread the sales on the natural healer started to soar as well. And ended up in most of our medicines cabinets today.
Ashwangandha Is A Natural Vitamin
I know you are probably reading this like what other kind of vitamin could there be right? Well believe it or not all vitamins on the shelves at your local pharmacy are not all natural vitamins. Mind Blown right.
Before I took my journey down natural lane I guess I assumed all vitamins were indeed natural. But I also was never educated properly on the fact that there are both Natural Vitamins as well as Synthetic Vitamins.
Natural Vitamins are compounds that are made directly from mother earth herself and are also created in our digestive systems as well. Natural vitamins are going to come from the foods we put into out bodies.
Synthetic Vitamins are compounds that are lab created to resemble the natural vitamins. You will find these mostly in dietary supplements and on the pharmacy shelves.
The Benefits Ashwagandha holds
The chemicals included in Ashwagandha are Sitoindosides and acylsterylglucosides. These chemicals are known to relax the MIND and are able to do so because of its anti-stress agents.
These chemicals help mentally and physically lower our Cortisol levels (primary stress hormone) in our bodies that is known to trigger our anxiety.
The roots and the berries of the plant Ashwagandha is what’s used as the herbal medicine. The herb works hard to promote long-lasting health inside our bodies and out.
Ashwangansha is not only helpful to us with anxiety, but these herbs also enhances the immune system, works as an anti-inflammatories, encourages muscle strength, improves memory function, kick starts our energy, helps lessen the chances of depression showing up and even helps keep your hair follicles nice and strong helping to avoid breakage. It’s multipurpose uses is the reason why Ashwangansha is amongst one of the most popular herbs today.
Now all these wonderful benefits that are known to come from this plant are not immediate FYI!
So don’t expect to take it today and start to instantly see results on day 1,2 or 3. Depending on ones body It can take a few days up to a few weeks before you will start to physically feel the benefits. Be mindful that every one of our bodies is different.
Allow your body to take it in and move at its own pace even if you don’t feel it right away that does not mean the herb is not inside working its magic. All great things take time so be patient and watch it work!
THOSE THAT ARE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING SHOULD AVOID THIS HERB!
(Ashwagandha has some compounds that may induce miscarriage)
Safe Ways You Can Use Ashwagandha
This particular herb can be used in two ways!
- POWDER FORM
- CAPSULES
Ashwagandha in the form of powder is used mostly mixed with smoothies, baked in deserts or even mixed with tea for the ones that prefer to ingest the herb. Ashwagandha has a very earthy and not so satisfying taste so finding something tasty to mask the flavor is Key!
You can also use the powder to mix with water, milk or honey to create a paste or rub that will allow you to apply on certain areas of the body used for anti-inflammatory purposes. It can be used as a nice milk spray to keep your hair nice and strong! The powder form is amongst the more favorable method of use simply for the diversity of it. Who’s to say one day you want a paste for your aching knee and maybe a nice strawberry smoothie to go with that. You can’t go wrong with a 2 in 1 combo!
The Capsules are more of a simpler way to use the herb. You can take the capsules by mouth twice a day after you have eaten (just to keep the tum happy) or with milk! This method is my go to only because I am not a huge fan of the bitterness of the powder, which I don’t get with the capsules. And not to mention it is quick! I can just pop one in and head out to start my day. Simple right!
In Conclusion
No matter how to choose to take the herb there are SO many benefits that can be gained from Ashwagandha and I promise you will no longer feel like you have joined the crew for the walking dead!
There is nothing better than being able to control and soothe the anxiety inside with something completely 100% natural. This journey just gets better and better! But don’t take my word for it try it for yourself and make sure you share it with your loved ones as well!
