Hello Friends, My name is Chillo and I am the founder of the Holistic Healing for Anxiety website! I have been nose deep in research and studies of the powers and importance of the Holistic Lifestyle for quite some time now and what I have found it to be is everything AMAZING. Trust me there are so many ways to incorporate these healing processes into your everyday life but for me my searching and seeking came from wanting to finally find not just anyway but a Natural way to soothe and calm my overbearing anxiety…
Before we go any further let me give you a little background on the word “Holistic” which comes from the term “Holism” meaning the understanding of the human mind and behaviors that focuses on ALL parts as a “whole” instead of breaking them down as parts, catering to the Body as ONE and helping find the connection between your body, mind and spirit, which when broken down like that makes a lot of sense as to why the two can go hand in hand!
Now that we have a better understanding of what holistic means let me explain a little about me and how I found myself in the mystical wonderland of the holistic goodness!
Struggling with Anxiety Has Never Been Easy For Me…
I have pretty much dealt with anxiety for as long as I can remember thinking back when I was a child and being told that I was just “shy” when I would stay to myself or cling onto my sisters for dear life at school out of fear of meeting new friends or anyone for that matter. Being introduced as a “soft spoken” person when in all reality it took so much energy out of me to find the words to simply just say “hello my name is…” so I would soften my voice so much in hopes that maybe they wouldn’t be able to hear me… Now of course as a child anxiety wasn’t a known thing, for me at least, but growing up and coming to terms of what anxiety really is and how it effects you made a lot of sense looking back on life…
Even though I have felt the attacks as a child it didn’t start to really hit me until the stages of teenage and my early adulthood years, where everything and anything was pressing lol. The struggles of being a teenager and transforming into an adult was more of a trying time for me but even than at such a tinder era in my life I really didn’t put as much effort in it than to find my “ZEN” in better words I just coped as best as I could with taking thing’s day by day which is 100% not recommended by the way lol!
But nothing topped the moment I became a mommy! Now don’t get me wrong that was indeed the most beautiful day of my entire life… but the moment the thought settled into my mind that I would be in charge of a little person. MY little persons life… whew anxiety rushed through every bone in my body stronger than it ever has before and that is the moment it felt more real than ever. So I tried medication than for the first time to help with my anxiety but the after effects just Made me feel like I was trapped in an empty shell so that was short-lived especially because with a new baby zombie mode wasn’t going to cut it. So after looking and looking I came across some articles on the “Processes of natural healing” which luckily turned me to the Holistic way of living. Once I started focusing more on that and educating myself on not only the gains that comes from the Holistic practices but on myself and my anxiety as well… than the rest was history. I found my Zen and my anxiety could no longer take over!
Being Able To Share My Journey With You All….
My mission is to be able to share what I have learned that worked best for me and my anxiety, that could help someone else that has been struggling and dealing with the same thing’s. I hope to be able to share my personal journey and in time be able to help someone else… maybe even someone that didn’t even know they needed it.
Anxiety is the most common disorder in the U. S currently affecting close to 40 million adults… and the thing about that is more than half of those individuals don’t even know that what they are dealing with is more than just being stressed out or in a bad mood.
So My Goal For This Site
Is to be able to help people like myself.. Trying to find peace through the chaos anxiety creates. No I am no Doctor but I am just like many of you are. A “self-healer”
knowing and being in tune with yourself ” body, mind and spirit” is all you need to control the mind. I have personally put together some thing’s that I have learned and practiced that I know will be able to help others through this journey in the most healthy and natural way there is.!
